Angel of Light could be a birthday or congratulations piece, or just a friendship piece. She could also be a Christmas piece, or part of the Nativity display.
Today I received a Christmas gift from my very special friend Candy. I moved to Texas 18 months ago and have not seen her since then. The gift was the star angel, Angel of Light. When I saw it I was reminded that though we are over 2000 miles apart, we still see the same stars at night. It made me feel closer to her.
In 2003 my beatiful son was born. We found out at nine months old that he had a very rare chromosome abnormality, that he would have extreme difficulty with his "trunk strength." Walking for him was extremely hard to learn. When he started taking his 1st steps unaided except for his walker, my mother-in-law sent this to me. He literally walked away from his walker at 32 months old. It is a reminder to me that there is always someone there to help you when you need it, even if you can't see them.
My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. Before that her beloved dog passed away. She has endured a lot of hardship this year and through it all has kept her spirits up. Through chemotherapy, and knowing that she has two more surgeries this year, she has kept a positive attitude which is so inspiring. Her birthday is October 1st and I felt the Angel of Light I felt was perfect for her. She needs a ray of light and happiness in her life! I love her so much and hope that this angel brings with it some faith in the goodness coming in her life!
