This is intended as a universal piece of goodwill... her hairstyle and gold-flecked hair band suggest an aura of celebration and specialness. Blessings is a little reminder to count our blessings every day. She speaks to any denomination or ethnicity. She celebrates the richness of diversity in our culture.

My daughter was born with a heart defect. She had rapid breathing from birth, and a dear friend of ours (who is a midwife) told us to take her to the hospital as she was breathing too fast. We did and at two weeks old she had heart surgery. She is two now. My Mum bought this for our friend when Charlotte was in hospital. She gave one to Charlotte for her second birthday. Although she doesn't understand its meaning yet, she loves it!
We are so blessed, Jacques and I. We now have five grandchildren from our two sons, within 2 1/2 years. It all started with the Promise, and then Happiness, now my girls with the Blessing. You are a true artist touching the heart of our family.
Thank you, Shirley
I would like give an update. I was offered the position and accepted. God is good. I’m excited and can't wait to start my new career. I have also purchased the Willow Tree “Blessing” figurine over weekend. I’m going to continue to count my blessings every day. I love your diverse collection. Looking forward to adding the “Angel of Grace” and “Angel of the Spirit.”
I noticed that you created this piece in part to reflect diversity. I would love more pieces like this. Our family is white, and I want my children to see examples from many cultures, of as many different kinds of people as possible. This is beautiful, and expresses diversity while beautifully expressing the universal. A perfect combination!
My daughters and I love Willow Tree. My teenage daughter began collecting a few years ago. I believe through collecting and studying the pieces she has improved the quality and emotion in her own drawings. Thank you for creating such a unique line of collectibles. The Blessings figurine topped each of my daughters Christmas lists last year!
