I am purchasing this plaque for my very best friend in the world! Our friendship began 18 years ago when we were only 5 years old! We haven't lived in the same state since we were 11 years old, but have remained extremely close throughout all of these years. We were the maids of honor in each other's weddings and we're now each the godmother to each other's daughters. She lives in Turkey right now, and we send packages to each other constantly. We recently started including Willow Tree items in the packages, and I've decided this is the next one to go to her! This plaque perfectly represents our lifelong friendship.

I gave this plaque to my daughter for Christmas a few years ago. She was 14 at the time and the year had been a tough one for us as a family. Every night I would lie in bed with her just before she would go to sleep and we would talk about our day and many times about what was going on within our family and how we felt; both sharing deeply. On the back of the plaque I wrote, "For our nightly chats. I love you so."
I treasure my sweet girl, who is now 16, and the bond we share not only as mother and daughter but as friends.

My story began with Wisdom. I fell in love with Willow Tree and fawned over the figurines in our local gift shop. My favorites list grew and grew and I am beginning a collection. I now have Heart and Soul, Love of Learning and Friendship added to my Wisdom piece. I hope to acquire them for as long as I can. They give me peace and joy just to gaze at one. My girlfriend and I have been friends since kindergarten! We went from elementary to high school together. We now live about 1500 hundred miles apart in distance, but we are very much close in heart. She is about to celebrate her 40th birthday, and I wanted to get her something that she can cherish and be reminded of our life-long friendship. This forever true, froever friends plaque is the perfect expression of our friendship.
