This was my first piece and remains one of my favorites. This sweet little angel always reminds me to have hope in the unseen. It shares a special connection with me because I have had it for several years. Keep hoping!
I absolutely fell in love with Willow Tree about five years ago. Something about every piece just touches my heart. I started buying them as gifts for people close to me, hoping they would realize how much I loved the pieces, but no one ever gifted them to me. Anyway, three years ago, I met a wonderful man who caught the clue. Our first Christmas together he gave me the Together piece. I met his family that year, and each had a piece to give me as well. Then my birthday came and I received another--and then it stopped. Two days ago, December 11,2010, this wonderful man and I married. Before the ceremony I was handed a gift sent by him--it is the Je t'aime piece. I love it and it was such an appropriate gift for me on that day. That piece will always be the most special to me; however, I just love all the pieces. The other most precious to me is the Hope piece, because my three year old daughter has many medical issues. My husband gave that piece to me before my daughters first surgery. These pieces mean the world to me and I hope to keep collecting them. Thank you for just beautiful art that absolutely tugs at the heart!
My niece gave birth to a little angel just after Christmas in 2009. This angel was born with challenges and lived for almost 3 months. In that 3 months he went through numerous operations and genetic testing. Joel went to heaven despite the wonderful care provided to him. His mom, my niece, was so strong through this time and was either at the hospital or the Ronald McDonald house for the entire time the baby was in the hospital. The significant connection to the Willow Tree figurines and this story was I saw one figurine just after Joel passed that was a little boy holding a ballon. After Joel's funeral, each family member was given a balloon to release outside the church. When I saw the figurine I felt like Joel was telling me he had made his journey safely. I am buying this figurine for my niece to show her that Joel is now in the arms of an angel and he is safe. Thank you for your beautiful work.
