My sister, my friend

Walk with me. And along the way, we’ll share... everything.

A sister can save your life. A safety net. You never laugh harder than when you’re laughing with your sisters... or very close dear friends. You share the same history;  the inside jokes that no one else would understand in the same way. A sister knows your faults and somehow puts up with them, and loves you in spite of them.

I have two sisters – one nearby and one farther away. When I’m with either one, or both, the walks we take and the talks we have are like one long ongoing conversation... we cover all subjects about anything and everything. By my side, my sisters are with me, in the present moment. This piece is about the rich and sustaining, comfortable constancy of lifelong friends.

This one warms my heart! My sister passed away last year and this just pin points everything there is to say about having a sister. There is none more special to me. Thank you Susan for making such wonderful and meaningful statues.

This brought me to tears. I lost my sister to cancer seven years ago, and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss her and wish she was here, walking beside me through my life journey.

My sister (one of three) lives 1000 miles away. I talk to her via phone every Sunday and sometimes during the week. I might say, "just a quick question" and four hours later we hang up our phones. I don't know what I would do without my sister. She supports me when I am down, makes me laugh, cries with me and loves me unconditionally. We love the same things, have the same interests, think alike, and our common saying when we say something the other is thinking is "We must be related!" Then we laugh. I love my sister dearly and would be lost without her.

i lost my eldest sister almost three years ago; there were four of us now there are three. We all miss her so much. I purchased two sets of My Sister My Friend, and they take pride of place on my mantlepiece, l look at them and know there are four sisters together again. It provides me with some comfort.

This lovely piece describes exactly how I feel about my very special sister Kathy. Yes we laugh so much together and we are soul mates. We can talk about anything and everything. I am so grateful to have her in my life. She was so brave last year and I wish her the very best this year.  I guess we will buying this piece as it is definitely us.
