You and Me

Every day, building on our love

This sculpture represents a couple who’s navigating life together – the joys, the challenges, and the daily decisions that come with being a family. I hope it speaks to an appreciation for the little things that make life interesting... and how love can renew itself over and over again. It’s the trust and support of each other through the day in, day out that strengthens love – and keeps us in it for the long haul.

I also designed this piece to work with the children in The Roses in my Garden collection. I hope this helps you create a family grouping that reflects the personality of your own.

Your Stories Tell Us Your Story

My brother David and I shared a special bond. After David passed in Feb 2012 I searched the internet for brother & sister figurines. My search kept bringing me back to Willow Tree. Although I own five Willow Tree figurines, the brother/sister just didn't feel right. I clicked under the new products and there it was. The figurine YOU and ME was absolutely perfect. I have two photos of David and me in the same position.
I will miss my brother every day for the rest of my life but this figurine gives me a sense of peace.

My husband and I are professional woodworkers and have been together for 20 years now. I got my first piece "Together" on my wedding day, which also happened to be our 13 year anniversary at that time. I thought the description of the piece was beautiful. Then one year later my father-in-law bought us "Anniversary". Since then we search every store that sells Willow Tree for your husband and wife pieces. We have all four pieces and look forward to more to come. They hold a special place in our hearts.

This figure reminds me of a sermon on marriage and submission. Our pastor's wife described biblical submission as not bowing down to your husband but covering his back while he moves the family forward. The "wife" figure in "You and Me" reminds me of that. My Lisa is always watching my back for attacks from the enemy. Her hand on his heart reminds me that my Lisa is always guarding my heart. Great work as always on this one.

My husband bought me Promise for my wedding gift, then we bought Together for our 2nd Anniversary. We have been waiting impatiently for another just couple one to come out -so I was delighted when I saw You and Me in our local shop today and just had to have it.

Thank you it is just perfect and the sentiment says it all.
