... This piece is all about the apple. I wanted it to symbolize many things ... to stand out, be large, delicious, shiny. Obviously, it’s a symbol for teacher appreciation — but the apple is also just a beautiful fruit! A metaphor for good health, for wisdom, for someone chosen for something big ... for a special person who always gives the best of her or himself, and makes a difference in the lives of others. I like that this piece is so open — I’ll be interested to read how others interpret it.

My name is Iris and I recently received the 'Thank you/ teacher' willow tree angel for teaching grade 5 at a school in Brisbane, Australia. After a busy year teaching full-time, with two children in childcare under 2 years (my girls are now 1y2m and 2y 8m), it has been extremely busy. I was really touched to receive one of these angels as a thank you from a small group of parents who appreciate the effort that I have put towards teaching their children. What a thoughtful present!
My name is Ms. Debbie and I am a teacher at a country home day care. I work with four year olds and enjoy every minute. Today one of my students gave me a gift; it was wrapped very beautifully. I just had to open it, and there I read the story and at that moment i felt appreciated. It was a very beautiful gift with so much meaning. Thank You
These precious ornaments mean so much to my life. I love them so much that I decided to work in the store that sold them in our town. They are so beautiful. When something happens in my life or I triumph in something I choose one and keep it as a sign to keep going. MY wish is that once I become a teacher will recieve the "You're the best" girl, as she is the one I would love to achieve and cherish the most because I would love to know that I made a difference.
When I was pregnant with my first child, my mom gave me the pregnant woman figurine, and I fell in love with it. Five months after my son was born, I became pregnant again (a surprise!), but sadly had a miscarriage at ten weeks. My husband and I purchased this to sit on our mantle next to my first Willow Tree and remind us of our lost little angel. We have since had another beautiful boy, so we added "Quietly" to our collection, as well as the Father and Son and Mother and son statues. We also purchased You're the Best! for my son's developmental therapist to thank her for making such a huge difference in my son's life.
I am a teacher for handicapped infants and toddlers. I typically work with children up through three years of age. When the program for one of my students ended, his mother gifted this beautiful angel to me as a thank you for my work with her precious son. This angel sits beside my computer and when I look at it, I will forever think of him and his family and the trials and triumphs that they all went through. I will also remember however, the life lessons that they taught me.
One of my preschool children gave me this as an end of the year gift. As you know, the apple has always represented a teacher and the mother did not know I collected Willow Tree Angels. I will always cherish it, and every time I look at it I will remember little Emma and James who gave it to me.
My grandfather suprised me at work when he brought me this. He wanted me to know I was an angel and such a great daughter for donating a kidney to my father, giving him another chance at life. It was the sweetest thing my grandpa has ever done for me! It brought tears to my eyes!
